African wax, commonly known in Western Africa as Ankara is one of the most trending in fashion world today. As we all know in the past decades, Ankara was mostly used by local women to sew Iro and Buba or skirt and blouse. But from recently, people got creative, they first came up with Oleku, a stylish Iro and Buba, seen on fashion icons and black celebrities while doing their thing in owanbe (Occasions).
Soon after that, the idea started evolving; Ankara inspired makeup (that got me wowed), shoes, bags, clutches, even jewelries made from this same traditional material.
Ankara has got the fashion attention lately and home design world is not excluded. I was privileged to come across these breathtaking interior design ideas, inspired by African wax (Ankara)
